Adult education in Maine is a statewide system of more than 100 connected learning programs and centers from Kittery to Fort Kent and everywhere in between. Adult education programs state-wide offer courses in up to 5 major categories, 3 of which, are currently offered at the Scarborough Adult Learning Center:

Business & Skills Training courses help prepare Maine citizens by providing the modern skills training necessary for new careers, promotions, and other career advancement.

GED & High School Completion courses help people complete their high school education.

Non-credit personal enrichment courses in the following areas: arts & crafts; writing, language & culture; computers; career & education; home, food & garden; outdoors and safety; and self & family matters
