English Language Learners Welcome!

Scarborough Adult Learning Center has open enrollment for all ELL classes

New and returning ELL students welcome anytime!

Located here at Scarborough High School, we offer Mon and Wed evening absolute beginner class at 6:00 to 7:30 pm, an advanced beginner class at 7:30 to 9:00 pm, as well as advanced reading classes. Other classes may be added tbd.

To join, please call or email Director Joan Tremberth to schedule an introductory meeting. Then come talk to Joan Tremberth, you may complete a brief placement test to insure proper placement, and then meet your teacher, Tim Sturtevant who will answer any questions for you!

We also may have opportunities for ELL students in need of help with English language skills while training for a career as a CNA (certified nurse assistant).

CNA INFO NIGHT - Genesis program day time

Our daytime Genesis program is expected to run M-W-F 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Oct 2 to Dec 15. Any updates provided at the info night.

If you're interested in being part of this next CNA class with Genesis, please plan to attend our informational evening on Wed, Sept 20, at 6:00 pm at Scarborough High School. The CASAS reading test will be available after the meeting.

CNA INFO NIGHT - Piper Shores program late pm/eves

CNA Information Night: Thurs, Sept 14, 2017 6 to 8 p.m. at Scarborough High School.

The CASAS reading test will be offered after the info session.

Our Fall Piper Shores program is expected to run M-T-Th, 2-8 pm, possibly some Saturdays for clinicals, Sept 25 to Dec 6. Updates provided at info night.
