Since 1993 CCI has been supporting innovative classroom-based programs to college & universities, career & technical schools and Adult Education. Now, in addition to classroom training, CCI has expanded into engaging, interactive programs though HEALTH ED.

ELL: English Language Learners Open House and Welcome Night on Monday Sept. 14

Monday, Sept 14, 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Scarborough High, Room A108

For both new and returning students. Please come and meet your instructor, Tim Sturtevant. He is there to answer any program questions for you. ESL students will be able to take a placement test on the first evening of class or at Orientation. Please contact Joan Tremberth at 730-5045, 730-5040 or


Classes are for students who want to improve their English language skills. If you speak a language other than English at home or need to work on your communication for work or daily life, this program can help.

Learn in a relaxed setting where you can improve your English. Classes are small, allowing lessons to be tailored to individual student needs and are offered at no cost to you! Suited for ESL levels 1-5.

CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant - Information Night September 2, 6 to 8 p.m.

Join us at Scarborough High School to learn how you can become a CNA - September 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. For an application or if you have any questions - please call Joan Tremberth at (207) 730-5040. 

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

180 Hour State-Approved Course If you have always wanted to get into the medical field then becoming a CNA is a great way to start! You must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. All applicants are also required to take and receive an acceptable score on the CASAS reading test, agree to a background check, provide evidence of required immunizations and show evidence that they can perform the physical work required of the position.

Please call the office for an application or email or and plan to attend the Information Session. You may complete your application then and take the CASAS placement test.These things must be submitted before your interview for placement in the next class. In addition we must have your physical form prior to the start of your clinical rotation at Pine Point Nursing Center. Fee: $500 SPACE IS LIMITED to 10 students per session and fills quickly.

The confirmed schedule is available online at www. maineadulted/scarborough website. Start date is Monday, September 28 and will run for 10 weeks 3 days per week/ Classroom portion is M, T &TH 8:30 am to 3:00 pm,  clinicals being scheduled shortly thereafter.

Scarborough Adult Learning Center is pleased to be a part of the state-wide adult education portal, Scarborough residents and others may now browse all of Scarborough's adult course offerings, select courses, pay via paypal, pay with debt or credit card as a "guest of paypal", as well as serarch for courses offered by other adult education programs in the area.
